Sideshow Collectibles has revealed today their line-up of San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives! Featuring 7 collectibles from Marvel, LOTR (Lord of the Rings), Disney, G.I. JOE, The Dead and Star Wars! Of nigh "interest" to me is the "Gunmetal Grey Iron Man Mark 3" 12-inch figure from Hot Toys - which I suspect to be the afore-posted "TK" Edition Iron Man, innit? And who can resist a Crimson Cobra Commander in 1/6? LOL

My mecha-lurvin-heart goes out to Pithecuse-B/W for the obvious robotic-arm attachment, and look forward to further basketball-dunking monkeymen as seen from the line-up at the base of this blog-post! "Owing to the powerful network infrastructure, near future with no more leadership of elite group who used to govern the high-end information. Furthermore, the last means of control for the people, sports itself is not the origin of fanatic interest anymore. At last, they forced to revolutionize the sports. People needs more bloods."

"The first test for the new revolutionized sports, that was a basketball game, "preyBall". The rule it applies is same as the existing basketball. The only difference that there is no lost or win. Uh-Oh Toys Anniversary Resin Releases (May 1st-launch)

Uh-Oh Toys celebrates their One Year Anniversary with 3 exclusive resin releases set for a Friday May 1st launch @ 10am CST @ uhohtoys.bigcartel.com - and they are:

01. Bullhorn 15T edition is 5" resin-cast in black with Metallic Pink, Silver Blue, and Red spray. Limited to 6 at $35 each.

IRON MAN 2 Official First Image

USA Today unveils the first "official" image from IRON MAN 2 [via MovieWeb] showing the illustrious inventor billionaire in the foreground (probably twittering and stressed that folks have been un-following him) and a row of Iron Man armor variants in the background = *COOL*

Robert Downey Jr. returns as billionaire "Tony Stark" aka Iron Man (no secret identity issues here, as he outed himself in the first movie). Reoccurring characters include Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper-"I-nearly-slept-with-my-boss"-Potts, and Samuel L. Jackson as guest-star-at-credits'-end "Nick Fury" of S.H.I.E.L.D. Jon Favreau returns as both the movie's director, as well as bodyguard/friend "Happy"-Hogan. [FYI: All info via IM2-IMDB credits].

Terrance Howard has been replaced by Don Cheadle as "Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes" (aka "War Machine" in the comics). Folks say tis the villains that maketh the hero - and amidst all the internet-rumours swirling thus far (I read but not post), the sequel seemed to have taken on a decidedly Soviet-flavour with the inclusion of Scarlett Johansson as super-spy "Natasha Romanoff" aka Black Widow (shown left / Greg Land does a fab Natasha, IMHO), and Mickey Rourke as "Ivan" aka Whiplash (not Crimson Dynamo as everyone had hoped, it seems. And "Whiplash" is a woman in the comics?). Sam Rockwell rounds out the "villains" as fellow-billionaire and Stark-Industries-competitor "Justin Hammer".

DISTRICT 9 Teaser Trailer

The Neil Blomkamp-directed and Peter Jackson-produced DISTRICT 9 [IMDB / D-9.com] Official Teaser Trailer has hit the www and can be viewed in various QT-sizes and HD directly on Apple.com/trailers. I really wish there were higher-res embeds, but check this out nevertheless:

I love it that it has taken on a documentary-style narrative (at least in the trailer and earlier incarnations / Detailed TRE write-up here) with less of the focus on the "design" of the Alien - of which no doubt would be something folks can grab unto and connect with, in this fast paced wwworld, but perhaps more on the "message" (what that message may be, to me, will guide the film, IMHO). The question now being; would this feature film project succeed in the future with the current subtle subversive promotion and vibe? Especially with it's latent seriousness seeping thru, awaiting cerebral-explosion?

This is without a doubt, one of the movies I will personally be looking forward to viewing, when it launches August 14th 2009. A huge part of me wishes DISTRICT 9 would have a booth / space at the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention [happening 13th-16th August / tagged] to promote the film. G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra trailer debuts on Allocine [via Slashfilm] complete with French subs. Looking forward to higher-res quality video in time to come, for what is to be a high-octane action adventure popcorn-film that is angling to be a guilt-free pleasure-trip enjoyable by leaving expectations, and yes, even your complex brains behind at home (under lock-n-key). It is after all, a flick about a covert military force with black-clad and white-clad ninjas duking it out, yeh? heh.

SUPERDEUX: Auto USB with Artoyz Originals / Hard To Be Humble show @ MOOD (til May 9)

Artoyz has teased exclusive images of the upcoming new SUPERDEUX project called AUTO! (to be released later this year thru ARTOYZ ORIGINALS). The image shows a USB key inside of the "GhettoBlaster", but Artoyz also mentions it is not AUTO itself? = part of a large toy perhaps? Intriguingly yummy from where I'm looking tho!
