Noferin-says: "We know it is still a fair ways away, but it is so exciting we couldn't wait another second. "The place we call home" is our second Solo Exhibition at Copro Gallery. With our little Poppy taking up most of our time, it has been a huge effort putting together a new body of work. We are really happy with the new direction our work has taken, and can't wait to share it with you. Dan May and Matt Dangler will be showing in the other galleries, so it is definately going to be a wonderful night!"

Mars Attacks! 1/6-figures & Cosbaby by Hot Toys

MARS-ATTACKS-COSBABY

One of my fav kitsch-flicks from the "past" (circa 1996) was Tim Burton's MARS ATTACKS! It was both fascinatingly farnie, as well as irritatingly benign due to hammy-acting at the same time (which understandably was on purpose). But hey, I must have liked it a lot - enough to buy the movie trading cards then, innit? And one of my toy-regrets in the past was to sell off a 12" action figure of a Martian (can't remember the make tho). Now Hot Toys steps up and further grows their movie license with the release of Mars Attacks! figures, in both their Cosbaby-line (looking excellent, IMHO) and a duo 1/6th-scale figures of a Martian Ambassador and a Martian Soldier!

MARS-ATTACKS-HOTTOYS-01

Both series made their display-debut at Tokyo Toy Show and SDCC, and now the official product info have been unveiled! "These Martian collectibles are able to convey a range of emotions: cackle, anger or fear with the valued-added features of Movable eyes, Movable jaw and Extendable tongue! We are sure that these little green men will become good buddies of your rest of collectibles!" - I would dearly love to have them, yes I would! CLICK THRU for full info of the figures with a 4th quarter 2009-release.
