An Online Thank You From TOYSREVIL

Lying in bed from Stroke in Changi General Hospital for the entirety of end-October to end-November 2010, one of the ways I've tried to keep "in touch" with my online life (couldn't help it! and before I could type on the laptop in December, while still in hospital) was via printed pages of my Facebook, via the diligence of my sister Cindy (who had also helmed the online aspect of my life then, and beyond). I remember pages of well-wishes from friends and folks at the time of my Stroke-announcement on the TOYSREVIL-blog, and my heart warmed because of it. They really gave me a strength to carry on recovering, as well a surprising awesomely positive gesture for my years of work online. I've never seen folks so "vocal" before and it was ultimately overwhelming (but in a great way!).

Unfortunately my vision at that time was severely limiting, and I was attempting to view the names and comments via a magnifying glass (true story). It was largely unsuccessful, truth be told, and I am left with looking at colorful ant-scribbles crawling across pages and pages of printed text. (Imagine now many more pages it would have been if printed in huge text? I'm not for wantonly casting aside printer ink). As well, it was not a situation I was able to bear (the reading part reminding me of my Stroke, not the well-wishes part).

Even now, I have over 1,000 email updates in my Yahoo, specifically from Facebook, during the time of my bed-stay, which I have yet to open and go thru (Yep, just checked the stats yesterday). I had given my sister the password and asked her to organize and/or categorize mails aside (a burden on her I will never be able to fully replay). It is somewhat the same as not knowing fully who else has mentioned about my Stroke on the internet, beyond the first page of googling (Hey, I've always wanted to see my name in bright-lights abd plastered all over the www, but just not like this, yeh know? LOL).

Just over a day ago, I finally plucked up the strength and googled myself, and am overwhelmed by the generosity of folks. Be it a news-byte or genuine support, I do appreciate each and everyone who had taken the effort to blog about my illness and share a few words with folks reading, and the linkage to Vinyl Hearts. The donation from all quarters will help me in medical bills, as well rehabilitation until I walk free and unaided. I thank you all sincerely.

No doubt this post might perhaps be misconstrued by some to be merely a "filler" blog-post, but it is simply not, and is perhaps one of the only ways I can really do to acknowledge and thank folks online. Four months into my condition, I am sure either folks are really curious, or have forgotten what went on. No worries, for we now live in an attention-deficient world and folks needn't have to carry a burden if it was mine to carry in the first place LOL ~ And if folks are ever more concerned or curious of my current condition and/or developments, I am blogging about my journey on http://stroke41.blogspot.com, because I really feel this is a condition more folks should know about, even if it is from one person suffering from it's effects.

I have scanned through the first semi-odd 20 pages of Google Search and these are the people who needs to be thanked. Massive apologies to anyone I might have missed though (there never is any intention of leaving you folks out) and folks who contributed artwork will be thanked and featured in another post.
