Since news of their being distributed in Japan by Good Smile Co, ThreeA Toys are now poised to release their exclusive WWR JAPAN DEFENCE FORCE SET [www] - with availability starting February 6th at Wonder Festival 2011 (Winter) - sold at the 'WONDERFUL HOBBY LIFE FOR YOU!! 13' booth [www]. This Japan-only set consists of a 1/6th scale Dropcloth and a WWR Square, and is priced at YEN 12,000 (with a max of 2 sets per person). This no doubt will cause a decent amount of "emo" for 3A-fans, no doubt at all.
But all is not lost" - the set will be made available online via the Goodsmile Online Shop from Feb 7th until Feb 13th. (Website in Japanese, so time for emo!)

Solya and Asha introduces a new "patient" for 2011, with “Patient №2” - scheduled for a release between 10-13th of February. Standing 14cm tall, the figure - who is a girl, by the way - chimes along with a chamber (aka a room with graffiti-walls and even a practical light), medical history, all packaged in a cardboard box. Hauke Scheer showcases the first test-shot of this upcoming U.R.I.-NAL 9000 figure - previously a resin figure, now to be made available in PVC! As shown from the montage above, the figure will come articulated and might see a production run of 2000 units - 1000 will be standard white, the other 1000 will be split into yellow, blue, green and pink ones. While Andy Woo had posted the sample of Jonathan Edward's INSPECT CUMULUS [covered on TOYSREVIL] on the Crazy Label blog since December, it is Jonathan's own recent twitter which brought renewed interest for his cloud-headed Inspector-character creation. No drop-date revealed at this moment, but do look out for packaging box design on Jonathan's blog.
Abell Octovan teases us with images of his 7" resin figure BOYCOTT - in both all-Black (with red eye-cross) and a as-yet-revealed "Secret" color edition (the DIY-eidtion is just an unpainted preview). This figure design has been around even before his recent Barking Gun release, and we chat briefly about the figure in my trip to Jakarta last year. Stay tunes to TOYSREVIL for release dates soon!
Asked for the origin of Boycott, artist Abell mentions: "Boycott is my original character, I started drawing these characters since I was 12 years old.
Boycott is my reflection on Selfishness and Emotion of myself against something. By time goes by, I grew older, had a job, lots thing to do, married and had kids and I totally forget the Boycott.
One day I was bored with my daily activities, I am sick with the news on tv , upset with the traffic of my city, upset with the clients, etc. - I decided to take the paper to start drawing something, I usually do this at my free time. Do not know why, and unintentionally I draw BoyCott.
Then I remembered my past, I always draw the boycott at the time when i'm angry. Then I decided to sculpt this character and produce it. And it is 7inch tall figure - hopefully this can represent the Selfishness of people who love it."
And just Who Is Boycott?
"Boycott is a form of egoism, any form of ego, Boycott is involved.
Boycott would live as long as we have an ego, Boycott has no mouth because she spoke to our heart.
Why Boycott as a child ? because he is a reflection of the childhood when we're so selfish.
Why Boycott like a skull head ? because it is one of the most important part in our body (I was symbolized by the head of the skull, because without a this skull it means we do not have a brain and face).
Why Boycott has an X-shaped eyes ?it is not an eye, Boycott did not have the eye, because he saw through our eyes. it is a symbol of emotion and Selfishness or Egoism.
Boycott very pleased with something that Neat, Elegant, Glamor, etc., so that's why he's using a neat suit.
so, the conclusion is : BoyCott = Yourself = Selfishness / Egoism = BoyCott."
