Arrow on the CW: Green Arrow on Television

Of course they had to find an actor with a chiseled face and cut body to act as "Oliver Stone" in the new The CW tv-series "ARROW" - based on DC Comics' "Green Arrow" and from the comicbook mini-series "Green Arrow: Year One" - which I've always thought could be made into a swell media-property, IMO.

The comicbook features writing by Andy Diggle and artwork by JOCK, the 6-issue mini series sees Oliver being marooned on a deserted jungle island, after being betrayed by his only friend and trusted bodyguard, and then learnt to use the bow and arrow while defending himself from heroin-traders. And now that "Smallville" is off the screens, "Arrow" somehow continues forth with a similar visual tone - not that I have anything to complain about (Ironically there was a "Green Arrow" in Smallville). Stephen Amell stars as 'Oliver Queen' in this new series, and you can find out more via www.greenarrowtv.com. Now that Hawkeye's purple is represented on the big screen in The Avengers, will this green-hooded vigilante conquer the television?
