Gary Baseman Documentary: "Mythical Creatures" on Kickstarter

"Part Pixar, part History Channel, artist Gary Baseman and filmmaker David Charles travel to Ukraine to uncover the Holocaust experiences of Baseman's parents, and re-imagine their heroic stories through an inspiring, fantastical, heart-wrenching odyssey."

"Mythical Creatures" is the name of the documentary, currently on Kickstarter "to raise funds for Baseman and the film crew to travel to Ukraine to complete documenting the people and the places where the artist's family once thrived for generations."

One of the rewards feature a new 12-inch Toby plush toy, made exclusively for this project, and being offered for the first time since 2005. The campaign ends August 18th, 2014.
