About That MAFIA FACTORY Mobile Store

Now, the notion of a "Mobile Toy Shop" has been buried deep in my heart for years ("Mobile Comicbook Shop" since my childhood though) … think a gentleman on a motorbike with a side-car bearing flavored breads wrapped in plastic, or my ultimate favorite: Ice Cream - something which you still see at street corners in Orchard Road in Singapore … but replace the food with comicbooks and toys = Got It? :) … I would call it "TOYSREVIL's Toy-Thrills On Wheels" and it would bring the joys of toys to far and wide! Although I can't ride a motorbike, or at least have not tried before...

So when I peeped this on the CE Planet Facebook sometime late-August, I had to get down to the details, and I spoke to Napat Phromphruk from MAFIA Factory about it too! I present to you; "MAFIA FACTORY Mobile Store"!


TOYSREVIL: What can you tell me about this "Mobile Store" spotted at Silpakorn University, Napat?

NAPAT PHROMPHRUK: "MAFIA FACTORY Mobile Store is a pilot project, which we do believe that we can develop new positioning of food & beverage products and sell it as a lifestyle product beside our designer toys product (CE Toy & others) in the same place … however, we want to make it move forward to our target group, both tourists and young adult. So, we thought about mobile store, not the regular permanent shop.


Of which, the first product, our own CE toy is a product of Thailand. Then, we thought about all 3 main things in this project are all Thai reorganization."

TOYSREVIL: Good call! And is that a TukTuk? *NICE*

NAPAT PHROMPHRUK: "We choose Daihatsu Mitget, which in Thai we call TUKTUK, because TUKTUK (THAI Taxi) is one of the first visual image while we think about Thai.


The last one is food or beverage, which we are so lucky. A friend of mine is the owner of one of the most famous local ice-cream shop in Bangkok. Then, we agreed to develop the first soft serve ice cream in MAFIA Style.
 MAFIA not really work on a toy for kids. Then, we wanted to have our ice cream be the same, and also it has to be THAI."

TOYSREVIL: TOYS and ICE CREAM? Great combo hahahahaha Careful those ice cream drips tho LOL … and knowing the experiments and adventures going thru your mind, Napat, something tells me these aren't your regular "vanilla" or "chocolate" ice cream…!

NAPAT PHROMPHRUK: "(We had 2 favors of Ice Cream). The first name is "Lionel Ritchie", in Thai we called it "Rajchasri Frunkfrink" with a perfection mix of sweet soda mix with a bit of SINGHA beer.
 The second favor is "Lonely Bull", in Thai "Krathing Pleaw" with a sweet and sour juice and RED BULL x Vodka.

Both SINGHA & RED BULL are THAI beverage. Then, we call claim that our ice cream are the new exclusive THAI original soft serve ice cream.
 And the result for our pilot project is awesome. Everyone love our ice cream and also toy and TUKTUK! Stay tuned! for our next progress, which we also don't know yet. haha"
