Made in collaboration with THREE TIDES TATTOO, designed by HORIHIRO, and made by SECRET BASE in Japan, IREZUMI DOKURO MAN with Red Hanna Mask, was part of a line-up consisting of 4 x Dokuro Man figures, each standing 9.5cm/ SRP was 6,600JPY, available via www.threetidestattoo.net. I would hazard to say this was a 2016 release.
I was given a headsup to this figure from ANTZ (for his Byebye2016Hello2017 Q&A) - which was his sole toy purchase of 2016 (from Ozzo Collection, in Singapore) - and it’s a doozy! This particular gene of collectibles was not something I blog about often, so this was an interesting “search/hunt” for me too! Thanks to ANTZ and folks online, I managed to track down the figure’s source!
The figure features a full-body “tattoo”-design (excluding fists/hands and feet - which is different for each mask-figure) in their by-now iconic monochromatic combo of Grey/Black and Red colors, with this *Momiji Chirashi figure’s “skin” underneath (including “Skull head”) in GID / glow-the-the-dark.
ANTZ had also mentioned the “mask” (likened to a “helmet”, as opposed to a front-attached mask) was supposed to be worn, but could not fit, as he would’ve needed a “heat gun” to enlarge the mask first be able to fit, and that was not something he had wanted to screw up the figure by doing, as dope as he thought the figure was!
Thanks to ANTZ, we have some snaps to gawk at!
