Now it is not simple 'hype' but I am getting extremely excited about his mecha stylings and designs - especially meeting his super-deformed Gundam-flavored TOSHIRO - which is seen below in extremely limited sticker-form - and will make it's way to some lucky folks for when they procure Issue#2 of my self-published *I LIKE TOYS*! Superhero Vs Villains ('Recruitment' for *I LIKE TOYS*)

Seems most folks like to be on the side of angels, while the fraternity of villainy languishes in obscurity as ever. Nevertheless "recruitment" has come to a point, and time to decide whose on the team/s will make it into the next Issue of *I LIKE TOYS*, and what happens to the rest of the heroes/villains. May The 4th Be With You Trading Card Set from Jason Chalker

What really caught my attention (besides the artwork, otherwise why would I have purchased them in the first place? LOL) was that these trading cards came housed in plastic-sleeves! Something I have not seen for an extremely long time now actually, having how folders-filled with cards in my collection, and as well stacks of empty sleeves for subsequent cards (all unfortunately packed away somewhere in storage, when I was lying in bed from Stroke, in 2010 lol).

The MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU trading card set from Jason Chalker from www.manlyart.com is limited to 250 printed set - of which mine numbered #19 - and was made available during Star Wars Day, and as well be only available where Jason has appearances at events.

Within the set of 18 x vintage-styled/designed cards, one was a signed 'Covered Card'. and a "Artist Card" - which is essentially a black-inked-sketch of Master Yoda - done with a Sharpie, as opposed to the colored painting printouts for the rest of the 16pcs card set = *NOICE* ~ Check out more images HERE on my FB-album!

Sunday was a good day. Not only did I have a chance to meetup with loads of folks and friends (and yakked for 5+ hours lol) but also got my stack of comics for Free Comic Book Day from Leonard from GnB Comics! FREE COMICS = Hell Yeah!


Managed to read The Avengers on the ride home (Ultron is Back! WHOO-HOO) and as well a swell treat of getting a 2000AD issue! Been decades since I owned one (i have a decent collection from decades back, mind you ;p) and that brought back an awesome feeling of … "comfort", and I am thankful for that. Thanks Leonard and Bernard!

#TOYPIXDAY: Mork

Thanks to Jake from Pobber I have a chance to own and paw a MORK from a design by Mad Toy Design! This is the Retailer-Exclusive DR MORKENSTEIN PAJAMAS EDITION, and frankly this is the first time I have held a MORK in hand, and it makes a huge difference for me, having not exactly raved about it while looking at pictures online! I had actually imagined the figure to be "bigger" in size, but the actual size is something that appealed to me greatly!

Truly a nice "pickup" for the weekend! *Have an Awesome one, folks*

About That Astronot Print from Plaseebo

Received a surprise package in the post today, featuring a splendid digital print from Bob Conge at Plaseebo featuring his custom The ASTRONOT (a one-off 11-inch tall custom created for the Sofubi Godfathers Show at the TAG Gallery) - nothing like seeing a (custom) toy up close and detailed like that, with crispness and appropriate mood to the image, IMHO. Hey, since I can't have the actual toy in hand, I'd love a swell print like THIS really!


And while this 19"x24" print was meant for promotional poster purposes, I really think it would make a swell production print, if Bob ever decides to do them - don't you think, folks? (you need to tell Bob too ;p).

Thanks muchly for the coolness, Bob! Really totally appreciate it!

Every year Mr Goodsell would have an exclusive made for SDCC (did you get last year's Exclusive Frankentoast) and frankly, a SDCC-Mr Toast would be one of THE SDCC-items I would get, if ever I step foot in this hallowed event halls LOL

Toys & WIP-Murals for TxB @ Toy Art Gallery (May 26-launch)

A couple of imagery for the "TxB" show opening on May 26th (7-11pm) at Toy Art Gallery -starting with the above peek at the trio of vinyl figurines co-designed by Bwana Spoon and T9G (who also did the sculpt / last teased here) and produced by TAG! And shown below are WIPs of Bwana (with Alex Chiu) working on a wall mural for the show (more pix can be seen here. “TxB” runs through June 9th. *NICE*

New Secret The Dark Knight Rises Poster Image Revealed

"By following the QR code at the bottom of the recently-released poster (the code is only found on the actual theater versions, not on the online ones - reports SHH)," Batman-News.com-reader "Brad" turned up a link to the above image of a severely epic stilettoed-heel from these boots made for crushing a Batarang, courtesy of the Catwoman! The presence of rain is an additional drama that heightens this imagery which looks utterly "Sin City", and the lil'Batman-logo within the red lipstick-mark is a swell touch! LOVE IT!

Custom-Feature: Alocer The Demon 1/6 by Miss Monster

One-off 1/6th-scale custom figurine from Miss Monster currently up on Ebay. Titled ALOCER THE DEMON, he looks super mean and swish clad in fabrics and fur. This was what Ms Monster had to describe her make:

"The face is cast in resin from an original sculpt, the horns are hand sculpted. The entire body is hand painted with some sculpted textures. His leg armor has hand sculpted elements with glass eyes set in. Hand dyed pants with handmade cape and wrappings, faux fur trim. His furry hoof feet are even hand sculpted and are possible!"

The Dark Knight Rises Banner Images

Here are a trio of new banner images for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES - released in anticipation of it's July-premiere date (July 19 in Singapore whoo-hoo!). Now that's a whole lot of promotional images being unleashed to the public, a lot of it is print-related page-scans, along with online reveals and extremely limited video trailers and tv spots (so far anyways).

Personally for me, on the strength of the previous two movies, I KNOW i will be locked-in to watch the third-story arc of this franchise from Christopher Nolan, so yes, I am getting more and more anxious, with every image they post! LOL

Only The Living Can Kill The Dead: Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Red Band Trailer

To much darkness for my liking - and by that I meant the clarity (or lack thereof) of the visuals … and yes, I know it is about 'vampires' … but sadly it might not go down well with my post-Stroke double-vision, but i reckon you regular folks'll do fine with it :)

Comic Con in London, the boys from Triclops Studio will be releasing their remaining 2" tall self-made B.A.S.T.A.R.D figurines next coming Monday online for the folks around the world! More images has surfaced of the multi-limbed dancing Ultraman aka "Dancing Gaia" sculpt from FLABSLAB and a as-yet-officially-named artist (*cough*), with this figurine standing 30cm tall, and looking pretty enticing! KISS × HELLO KITTY Plush from Medicom Toy

Scheduled for a May 2012-release is this quartet of KISS × HELLO KITTY mascot plush from Medicom Toy! Priced at ¥980 each (US$12+ = US$49-ish for all four?), they measure 115mm / 4.5" tall and features (it it has not dawned on you yet) the members of the rock band KISS! "THE DEMON", "THE STARCHILD", "THE CATMAN" and "THE SPACEMAN" each comes with a ball-chain - easy for dangling with … you know you need to check with your fav retailer about the availability of these, right? Otherwise how could you miss out on a Hello Kitty sticking it's red tongue out at you? *MUAHAHAHAAHAHHA*

About That Avengers Collection Blu-Ray Case design by Dave Delisle

Are you ready for this AVENGERS Collection Blu-Ray Case, people? Shaped like S.H.I.E.L.D's Heli-carrier seen in the movie, apparently this case can hold "at least 30 discs" with the ability to add more trays, and hence be able to fit ALL your Marvel movies in one single display? Designer Dave Delisle estimates it to measure (approx) 26″ long, 16″ wingspan, and 12″ tall, and yes, before everyone freaks out and bugs their retailer for this case, this is in actual fact a CONCEPTUAL DESIGN by Dave himself, and is NOT a production piece per se! Would be awesomely great, wouldn't it, if this was actually a real production product :)

King Negora + Micro Negora + Oh Nezumi Rat by Medicom Toy x Max Toy x Konatsu

Scheduled for a June 9th release in Medicom Project 1/6th store are these two exclusive King Negora sets! Featuring a King Negora, a Micro Negora and a Oh Nezumi Rat (is that a GID-Rat seen below?) - these are apparently available in "Japan only" (*gasp*) - so better start making your connections soon, folks! The black cat is sure an eye-popper! (Crushes my "plans" tho…). Price is 9, 900 YEN (approx US$124 = a bargain!).

The Reveal of Nezumi from Max Toy Co

We've posted about Max Toy Co's "King Negora with Nezumi figure" before, but never revealed the Nezumi-figure - but today, the Rat is Revealed in it's grey+white colorway, with a devilish scarlet hued tail!


Pre-orders have since been listed as "Out Of Stock", but know that initial price was US$125 for the set. This is the first USA painted release, and perhaps in time there will be more colorways and sets to be had, if you missed ordering this set, anyways :p

Designed by artist Konatsu and sculpted by Makino-san of TTToys and cast in white vinyl by Master Shimizu-san, and subsequently painted by the Maruyama factory in Japan.
