I'm so pleased to formally introduce Eemo Cloud! 😊❤🌧🌈⁣ ⁣ I'm sure some of you know this already but it was inspired directly by the Anatoy custom I did that had a mental health theme. I often explore depression & mental health in my work and I liked that raincoats often are used as metaphor for depression & emotions. But despite being a long term manager of depression myself I always see light & hope in the darkness even on my darkest stormiest days. And I loved the metaphor so much I thought I'd make the theme of the custom into a simple but cute designer toy. The original custom had rainbow rain so it felt fitting to do the first colourway as rainbow.⁣ ⁣ But this toy has become more important as it was developed & made in pretty troubled times. Its been a source of hope for me... a small spark keeping me going in isolation (which I have really struggled with mentally). Its been an important outlet to express my emotions during this time.⁣ ⁣ Its called "eemo" with 2xe cos it's extra emo, like I am in general hahaha.⁣ ⁣ Thanks everyone that followed the up and down journey of this little one. Its helped keep me motivated and not give up.⁣ ⁣ No release date atm but I've got 10 primed and ready to paint, but may need to wait a little while I focus on some of the customs in my queue 😅. Meet Kattessy the cat panda! I developed this chr to celebrate 20 years today together with my husband @adamcroberts 🥰❤ Over the years I have represented Kat (obviously cos it's his beloved nick name) as a cat and me as a panda! We even wrote a comic together called Mad Scientist Cat! I’ve really wanted to develop this concept of a cat panda ever since i came up with the half and half illustration i did a couple years ago to celebrate being with kat for half my life (2nd pic)! I’m definitely gonna attempt to sculpt this!!! ⁣ I was 17 when I first meet kat. I was in a dark place. Many things were weighing me down I could barely breath. Kat saw me, valued me and breathed life back into my very damaged heart. We started dating when we just turned 18. We knew we loved each other within the first week, wanted to be together forever within 6 weeks & got engaged officially within 3 months. But we wanted our friends & family on board so we decided to wait until after uni. But to me and kat waiting the long 5 years was a formality, we normally consider ourselves “together" since the day we started dating cos we just knew! Now I think people only have to see us in the same space to know the love that is between us. I am grateful & appreciate Kat every day and look forward to more adventures together.⁣ ⁣ Oh and one last thing. Why hello there Kattessy (OG) the cat panda ❤! Once upon a time a cat & a panda loved each other so much their souls merged into one and they became Kattessy. Kattessys are attracted to places where trust forms. I often represent myself as a panda & my husband as a cat (as his nickname is Kat). Over time I'd draw little sketches or a sculpt in celebration of our relationship. 5 years ago sculpting was still only a "hobby" 😅😅 clearly! 2 years ago marked half my life with him so I did a half cat/panda sketch. Then on our 20 year ani, this year, I revisited the idea and developed an actual character. I wasn't sure i was even gonna sculpt it but decided to go for it, as i was surprised by the positive reception the character received 🙏❤ The novelty of seeing an idea go from my brain to 2d drawing become 3d still is an epic feeling! I have the toy making bug baaaaad! Its lovely to make a toy based on love... and it's beyond just a celebration of my relationship with Kat, to me Kattessy symbolises love that we have for our fellow humans or even love for ourselves.
