hot toys' 1/6 iron man mark 3 @ sideshow collectibles

Looking at the by-now-iconic pose of the Iron Man statue by Sideshow Collectibles (above-left) - makes me wish somehow that the Hot Toy's 1/6th IRON MAN MARK 3 figure [tagged] could replicate the exact same pose (nobody said it couldn't, but nobody has posed it like that thus far) - becoz really, that's one hawt pose, innit? LOLBesides being on display @ SDCC (both versions), the HT 1/6th Mark 3 is also listed on Sideshow now [www] with a SRP of US$159.99-per for a 4th quarter 2008-drop ... so maybe by then, if YOU do happen to procure one, please do let us know if "the pose" is doable or not?
Tre, I love your stuff, but, man, that Sideshow pose is anything but 'iconic'. It's downright awful. I still can't figure out why Marvel pushed that one.
ReplyDelete"iconic"

"notorious"
varying degrees of recognition. and of coz you are entitled to your own opinion.
or perhaps you're just happy with Iron Man gesturing "to stop traffic"? :p
36 points of articulation would make you think the Hot Toys 1/6 Iron Man can pull a fair amount of poses, although it does seem that it has deliberately not been posed in complex poses, but most Hot Toys figures aren't posed in complex poses for photos when they're easily capable of it :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Tony when bust and homeless, he freelanced as a traffic cop. Stop at the signal or get blasted to nothingness if you wanna run the intersection.
