Original-Fake 3rd Anniversary 4 Feet Dissected Companion by KAWS
Truthfully, when even before I had begun blogging about toys specific - there was as much "fear and stress" as there were "joy" in toy-collecting - most times due to the fear of being unable to either (A) Procure the item/s I wanted within the allocated time, and (B) Being able to afford said item/s when the time comes. And a certain amount of stress eventually overrides every other emotion and/or sensation when it is time to do the cyber-deed - ie, "Add To Cart" etc. ("Multiple Browser-Sniping" is a past best left unspoken...) and inevitably, the cursing and foul language will fly (which no amount of soap in the world can ever cleanse) ... generally it all felt pretty nerve-wrecking, with paranoia ruling the day. It was "ME" versus everyone else with a clickable-mouse. And I realized this while typing, that the feeling of "triumph" - even after a score, had escaped me.

Years on, as the cash dwindled to a non-trickle draught, the "negative" feelings have since been quelled, for I no longer partaketh of the chase or hunt, which in no small way has affected the former thrill of it. But the joy of opening up a brown carton box package remains ever blissful and joyful :)
I look at this 4 Feet Dissected Companion coming from KAWS [blogged] - in celebration of the 3rd year of Original-Fake - and I no longer feel the stress of owning one, because I simply cannot afford to, hence no stress to think about how to get one, as much as I desire it. And can only wish the rest of you folks (who can afford and secure one); a happy and smooth transaction .... @&%$$#@#-you...
... sorry, some old habits die hard ... heh :p

This is the first piece that KAWS produced that I was actually impressed with. It's amazing! I personally think the timing isn't so great for something this large. Who has a few grand just laying around the house in this economy? I say save your cash and buy a few nice toys for the desk. Put the rest of it in the bank and save it for a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteThe folks who will buy this did nit have to save up for it and have this as a nice toy on their desk :D
ReplyDeleteIt will fly.
this came too fast.. i can only wish to have this, not enough money being saved.
