had a call in the evening today (tuesday) from ye ol' comicshop ~ fren/dude; M, asked if i was ever gonna go down to the shop to collect me shitte comics reservations ~ to which i promptly replied: "of coz lah! dun scared, won't run away one!" ~ which in essence, he should be scared; becoz what if i did run away? then he'd be stuck with a (by now) entire box full of comics and a mounting debt that obviously he ain't gonna settle himself, innit?

but i won't run. ain't gonna to. i miss my comics too much.
and i told him as much too. and also regaled him with my current financial-catastrophe. and of my ailing health. and becoz his collegue; G, also attended the same RT as i did (singapore fcuking small island lah) and wondered where i've disappeared to ... so now they know. and of coz fren/dude; M told me to take care of myself.

now, these are the kind folks working at the comicshop where i (used to until recently) lurk hang-around every week. these are the "friends" i've struck-up ... and tho we never "hang-out" outside of the shop, we get along just fine ... :)

... a coupla hours later, i received an sms from fren/dude~M's girlfriend (i know her too - tho we've not msgd) ~ asking me to take care of my health too (obviously probably found out from M) ...

... and i was touched ... by the concern and the simple effort of the sms and words ...
and no, tis not "PR" and even if itz a "by-the-way"-remark (which i know is not) = i appreciate it so. and these are not the folks i hang-out with, work together or such and such = these are the folks i see maybe once a week (of coz i spend a long time in the shop toking cok lah LOL) ... and reminds me yet again on the true value of friendship and its myriad complexities ... and of the seemingly-"real friends" i thought i had; whom obviously, dun really give two-fuck's ...

too judgemental, you say? hardly, i insist.
but tis cool. this entry shouldn't come across as if i'm whining again (of coz it sounds like that *blergh*) - but im not ... truly ... at least i know where i stand amongst the scheme of the universe of "things" ... so; no harm, no foul ... at least i still have folks who cares, and that's a good thing ... :)
