a vampire theory/conspiracy unveiled (almost)
to quell bury my anguish, i blindly leaped into the celluloid world of vampires, into the silent echoes of the night (yes, am being melodramatic *bleh*) ... first catching Underworld (UW), starring Kate Beckinsale (one of the only real reasons to watch this flick) ... followed by Queen Of The Damned (QOTD), and followed almost immediately by Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola (BS'D) ... and what a trip it was :)
while watching BS'D, i sorta (inner) realized with wonderment about the old-world charm of BS'D and the modernity/updated lore and "hipness" of QOTD and UW, and wondering how the next "celluloid-evolution" of the vampires' is gonna be ...? seeing that one of the powers of the undead is to assume the guise of a much younger being, as opposed to their true centuries-old-wrinkled-until-near-yucky-decay ... and then it struck me.
maybe we already have seen it on the big screen, but dun realize it yet?
consider this:
The Emperor Palpatine is actually a Vampire!
>> that explains it all, dunnit? the middle-aged Chancellor to the old-wrinklefaced Palpatine, tis but nothing to the illusionary powers of the nosferatu, innit? ... also "The Force" might actually be vampire-powers! and he; being immortal and all, would've been able to perfect his powers thru the centuries and mayhap said-powers "evolved" as well, innit? ... but then again, Palpatine mentioned he was trained by his "mentor" = the original vampire? or maybe he was just lying lah - you know them villains like to lie loads, doncha? and maybe he wanted to conquer the entire galaxy 'coz he was tired of drinking Ewok-blood? ... hhhmmm ... then maybe alla them jedis and siths might haveta be vampires then, huh? ... hhhmmmm ... oh well, that would've made a frickkin' cool movie tho!

... *ahem* ... yes, it would've been cool, yes it would :)
... orh-kaay :p
i've always loved vampire flicks tho ... from the early Lost Boys to Blade ... and of coz who hasn't dreamt to be(come) a vampire? ... eerrr ... i meant "some" people anyways ... heh ... what is YOUR fav vampire flick anyways?
and while mulling over that thought, check out the trailer for the upcoming sequel; Underworld : Evolution
