which i thought was simply-brilliant = self-sustaining without external influence ... and not to doubt the sincerity (NOT at ALL) of the notion of providing a laptop for those who need it the most, in the name of education and all, of coz ... just hope there won't be too much of www-censorship-issue in time to comes, coz with alla the good, will come the bad ("exploitation" et al); inevitably (tho who am i to be the harbringer of tech-doom, innit?) ... imagine the whole wide world connected via www, from the far reaches of skyscrapered-civilization to the near-forgotten rural villages of rumour and myth ... quite the *spine-tinggler*, i would say, innit?

all of which is sorta "old news" now (given the speed of info-via-cyberhighway :p), altho what got to me was this weird-out-flashback trippy-trip down Warren Ellis' "Edison Hate Future" serials ~ a juiced-out parallel de-evolution of an idea/ideal made functional for modern times (?) ... as sure as the DIY-laptop'll provide relief to all folks involved, as too the funny-bone molesting darkened-humor of Edison, IMHO of coz ...

edisoncrank < *dun sue me, please*
