and let the teeming visual chaos engulf you and carry you forth to a trippy wonder-journey down your subconscious future-past, a flashback-of-your-life-before-neardeath, a soundscape of hollowed madness echoing silently within the bowels of thy memory-marshlands, a sharp but gentle poke in your mind's eye, a culture-schlock to thy life's tortured-teachings and learned-love-lessons; unrequited, unrepentful, unrelentless ...
... such are my random runaway-train-of-thoughts when i browsed thru the pages of Yamabushi Design [via Coolhunter] = *and i like 'em loads* :)
"YAMABUSHI DESIGN is a design first collaborative. We specialize in a new form of art called "super collage" printed for mass consumption on alternative apparel. the reason YAMABUSHI exists is to promote art and culture for our times. Visual hip-hop sampling from our collective subconscious. Creating cultural codes and our own pictoral, neo tribal hieroglyphic wearable prayers created to specify events, influences, hopes, prayers and dreams."
the sketchbook series got me emotive the most. mayhap tis becoz reminds me alot of what i used to do (besides attending the "normal" art classes) in my own warped pimpled-pubescent-years, or mayhap it offers a "tangible-form" what my turbulent-mind was/is, at times ... or mayhaps i can identify most of the iconic-images utilized within their collage-of-controlled-madness, and somehow that is a perversely-comforting thought ... and they be selling tee-shirts?
no disrespect meant, mind you ... just looking forward to whatever they might haveta offer, in time to come. *cool*
