middleton's nyx
:: COMICS ::
just a quick note to say: Joshua Middleton's artwork for NYX issues #1-4 is simply effin' gorgeous.
i am one of the "late ones", having only just convinced myself of picking-up the reprints of the abovementioned and thanking the comics-gawd i did not go for the hardcover collection dangled (with discount) before me just ~ 'coz i only just found out Middleton stops his interior artwork by issue#4. which, of coz, was the main reason why i got NYX in the first place, innit? kudos Superman /Shazam : First Thunder (cool read too, btw)
tis the crisp and clean organic lines that brings to life his subjects on the printed-comic and of the heightened subtility that pumps breathe into his drawings, that consumes my attention (for now) and admiration. and his a good story-teller too! ... currentlyonly doing the covers to Vertigo's American Virgin (looking good), i can't wait for him to start on sequential interior artwork dammit! ~ that man is good ... *nuff said*
