1/6 bollywood legends
Bollywood legends Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol Devgan and Hrithik Roshan come alive as 1/6th-figures, ala Barbie and Ken! [via]:

i actually first saw these figures in the news quite a whiles' back, on the local telly :p ... released primarily in the UK by Bollywood Legends, the figures are split between 2 men and 2 femmes, with two changes of clothes (traditional+casual) for the hunks:
... while the babes are swathed in luxurious traditional saris and their sweet smiles :)
and while some folks might scoff at the Barbie/Ken-makeover, i reckon tis appreciative enough that they were actually made in the first place, innit? from the website images, the headsculpts do look decent-ish (hard to judge from online images) and bare in mind, these figures are "legit" and artist approved (unlike HK's) ... and mayhap with a little bit of "effort" and kitbashing, you might just be able to have a Bollywood-star in your 1/6th diorama, innit? *heh*
anybody actually has them and might wanna drop a comment about them? thanks :)

I don't have them, but I'm eyeing now for quite some time. I'm not terribly fond of the figures themselves, but I'd like to get them for the clothes. And probably to experiment on the heads.

My whole family would love the Shah Rukh Khan as they are all Bollywood fans. (not me though). Never expected to see these on Toysrevil :). Keep up the awesome work Andy
ReplyDeleteagree wif ya Ursula, the saris look nice, not too sure about the guys' clothes (except for the traditional wear) - altho im intrigued by what make the body underneath is ... from the hands look like they're Elite Brigade! LOL

Hey hey thanks Andy! Just signed up a eblog account a while ago, but it's still empty. Have been totally drowned out by 1/1 junk, too much things happening. Sighh. Anyway sure thing bro, will keep an eye out for sure. Finger crossed my local dealer will be smart enough to bring them in since Bollywood had their first ever movie world premiere outside India in our little town.
