TRE: how did the Bart Qee custom gig come about? what was the genesis?
SHAWN: I've been thinking about customs more like characters that have been possessed by Shawnimals rather than trying to turn them into a singular character. Like my Zlik for mph or this, it's like the vinyl (in this case Bart) has been overrun by all sort of Shawnimal creatures.
TRE: sweet "possession" (if ever can be described) - what is your custom concept about? what was your influence?
SHAWN: My main influence is thinking about the world Shawnimals live in and what they're all about. Sometimes they're happy, sometimes they're sad, sometimes they're hanging out with friends, sometimes they're just hanging out, or sleeping, etc.
TRE: they're just like US! *gasp* ... are you a Simpsons-fan?
SHAWN: Hell yeah! Love em. The show though, not anything else. The show has so many layers of humor, and it can be really odd at times, and then just slapstick other times.
TRE: do you think Bart is a pain-in-da-ass or is he misunderstood?
SHAWN: Both. He's kind of a dick really, but then again he's a kid, so...
TRE: so, if you were a Simpsons-character, who would you wanna be and why?
SHAWN: If I had to be a Simpsons' character, it'd be Homer. He's an idiot, but he leads a really fun, interesting life.
TRE: an idiots' ignorance is blissful indeed :p ... why do you think the Simpsons-character skin is yellow?
SHAWN: Liver problems?
