did raiden visit a dentist and came back a brand new cyber-ninja?
last seen and raved about in NYTF'07, Medicom Toy's RAH 1/6 MGS RAIDEN is now available for pre-order @ USD$175 for a 2nd-quarter 2008-drop on SideShowToys [images via] and there has been quite a few changes+additions in design since we last saw him (images-right) = starting with at least more weapondary+gear - including a belt (looks out-of-place + awkward, IMHO) with scabbards for sword and dagger, a drop-pistol holder and a leg-strap for knive:
seriously, the belt makes him a "wannabe-cyber mercenary" rather than "cool-cyber-ninja" ... otherwise, the kid looks utterly awesome! (except for the belt = somebody do something quick, purleez!) - altho i am a tad worried about shoulder-articulation ... come to think of it, there doesn't seem to be any articulation from the elbows and knees, innit? that is so wrong, IMHO - if i needed a "statue", i'd go get one, yeh? IMHO ... regardless, a darn decent adaptation of the Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots character tho, IMHO :)
one key thing to note: is the change from Raiden's previous JAWS-overbite (image-right)
(which loadsa fans screamed murder over) to a new subdued closed-mouth design:
... which i think somehow loses it's "edge", ya know? but then again im partial to the idea of cyber-ninja-zombies, myself LOL - and i dun play the game, so emotional-attachment is not in consideration ... altho i'd wait to see the final production version, to confirm articulation and finished details, to make up me blardy mind to buy, innit? *cyber-coolness* anyways :)))
