SERGE SEIDLITZ: i used to draw star wars battles when i was younger, i loved drawing the space ships and characters from the films, so i basically expanded this idea. i didnt really plan the drawing, just locked my self away with some dvds and started drawing directly onto the helmet, i like the spontaneous approach, see where the drawing takes you.

TRE: are you a Star Wars-fan? are you a avid SW-collectors as well? what was your earliest memory of Star Wars?
SERGE: im a fan, but i dont collect now, i used to collect the toys when i was a kid, star wars is a nostalgic thing for me, i remember the first time my mum came into the kitchen and said there was a movie on tv i might like, after that i was hooked.
TRE: are you for the Rebellion? or is a proud citizen of the Empire?
SERGE: always defend freedom and democracy!
TRE: if you were a Star Wars character, who would you (wanna) be?
SERGE: i was always Hans Solo in the playground - i reckon he had the right attitude -and he got the princess!
TRE: If you were a Sith Lord, what would be your nick / Sith Lord-name? and why?
SERGE: never underestimate the power of the dark side-(litz) ! - so , sith side-litz

SERGE: its been a real fun project to be involved with, and reintroduced me to a big part of my youth and early influences as an artist.

SERGE SEIDLITZ: An English/ German hybrid, born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1977, Serge grew up traveling between the UK and Asia, he studied graphic design at Camberwell College of Art, graduating in the class of 2000, he currently resides in London working as a full time illustrator.
