whysoserious.com: another dark knight viral?
yet another Joker/Dark Knight online viral campaign?
The Joker seems to be recruiting thru WhySoSerious.com (quite a local colloquial term too) - where folks are supposed to meet at a designated location during the San Diego Comic-Con-period (insert map). there's even a countdown clock on page-top-right for you o figure out the exact time of meet-up [via].
if it's legit, i reckon it'll be either for a free screening of the rumored Dark Knight teaser-trailer, innit? (which they already said would not happen) or some such media publicity-shenanigans ... or maybe tis raffling for free carnival-rides on the BatPod? ... or the world's really gone totally mental and the criminal fraternity is fattening up it's ranks via online viral campaigns, innit? *time will tell*

and i was so wrong, the event turned out to be legit and folks apparently arrived in droves, and while i do not have a full-on reference post, i only have these images to rely on (based on Randy's tip-off - cheers dude!) and it seemed like a scavenger hunt (including 'stealing' girl-scout's brownies? LOL) climaxing in an ariel-writing (the Joker did say 'look to the skies', innit?) - peep event images HERE and the 'wannabes' immortalized online HERE.

frankly, 'viral-campaigns' work only the first time (when they are launched), becoz everything else after that will just look like a pale imitation or serious wannabe, and folks will be expecting it ... but then again, it does churn the publicity-mill, dunnit? (this blog-post is a prime example of it!) *muahahahaha*
