the bode broad exhibition @ double punch (feb 23)

Mark Bode's Bode Broad is set for a release @ Double Punch on Feb 23rd (7pm) along with a custom Bode Broad-show on display by artists including: Greg Kultz, Vincent Bode, Mark Bode, Seen, Stan 153, King 157, Doctor Revolt, Paul Mavrides, Al Valenta, Vulcan,  Karen Roze, Giotto Harrison, Desire, Larry Todd, Hal Robbins, DX, Bryn Taylor,  Amy Justen, Pache, Fury, Razor, Matt Maguire, Pepper Alexandria, KC Angel, Teel, and K2.
the 14.75 inches tall Bode Broad was created by Vaughn Bode and is currently rendered by his son Mark, and will be available in 2 main colorways, the REGULAR edition (shown above) comes in a run of 800-pcs, as well as a DIY-BLANK. in addition there are 5 other limited colorways, limited to 100-pcs each ... (price undetermined, altho initial pricing @ Planet6 is at US$89-per)

    I went to college for illustration. One day, my senior year, a guy mentioned in passing that Vaughn Bode was an alumni.

    I ran around all week telling people "Wow Vaughn Bode went here!" and the all looked at me like an idiot. I couldn't believe no one in the art department cared.

    I mentioned it to a towny friend of mine. He said "yeah, my dad always told me Cheech the Wizard lived under the manhole near our place."
