About Ruban Rat
Ruban Rat gallery is located in Stanmore, Sydney. The second story warehouse venue is an off-chute of Ruban Rat designer toy store located at 423 King St, Newtown. The gallery space at Newtown could not cope with the volume of work required so a larger space was acquired at Stanmore to cope with the growing demand.
Ruban Rat gallery showcases local and international artists in the toy scene and different genres of the “lowbrow” and experimental art scene. Directed and managed by Rachel Coleman, the independent space will open its doors in August.
Monster Invasion its first major show. The space has a full calendar for 2008 including ‘Plush it’ a custom plush show with over 60 of the worlds top plush artists.
