dragonball 70% be@rbrick by medicom toy
There is no doubt in my mind, that when the live-action Dragonball movie [tagged] hits - regardless of it's performance - there'll be oodles of toys and memorabilia released in global tandem. This is just plain logic, I suppose. The "trick" is for the toy-makers to come up with good quality, creative and economically viable products in the coming year (this of coz, applies to across the board toys of all genres, IMHO).
One of the more "consistent" quality producers thus far, has to be Medicom Toy. Besides the RAH (Real Action Hero) series of 1/6th-scaled DB-characters Piccolo, Goku and Son of Goku - most recently seen @ AFA08 Singapore - December will see the release of two DRAGON BALL 70% BE@RBRICK - featuring Goku and Piccolo. (FYI: 70% Be@rbricks stand 5cm tall)
Goku will be offered with advanced movie ticket-sales (in Japan) first, and once they are gone, Piccolo will be offered next. With no determined quantity determined for either of these figures, it may well be stressful for the average collector, whose only recourse would be via online auctions sites, innit? ... And what's this image of a Goku with blue-pants about? hhhmmmm
