Go Hero - as seen @ the New York Comic Con 2009 (Feb 6-8) @ booth 956
GO HERO debuts a couple of new licenses at the New York Comic Con 2009 (Feb 6-8) - first off with the earlier-announced COMMANDO CODY [blogged] with a prototype on display,
UPDATED 10.02.09: The "Discovery Astronaut KIER DULLEA & 1/6 Space POD" has been revealed to be under Executive Replica and not directly from Go Hero. I had assumed inaccurately when I found it on Figures.com and with all the images in the same gallery folder on nycc09.figures.com [which has since been removed].
Steve Forde of Go Hero mentions on OSW: "The Pod and Keir Dullea pieces are under the Executive Replicas banner. We will help with production and may take an exclusive version when the time comes. When it is all done, it will be spectacular!!! Look for more info from ER at http://executivereplicas.com/"
The existing images have been removed except for the one above (for visual reference). Will update with another blog-post if there be more tangible news to be had. Apologies for any confusion caused on my part. (Note-to-self: Must remember to triple-check sources next time round :p)
1/6 COMMANDO CODY prototype shown here is Go Hero's first co-production
action figure with Executive Replicas (lurving the pants tho!)

AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON GO-HERO'S WEBSITE:
(with regards to Buck's production status)
"Greetings Folks,
What is coming but never gets here? Tomorrow! More specifically, "The Man of Tomorrow".
The bad news is that once again I am sorry to say we are putting on hold the ship date for the 12” Buck Rogers figure until the beginning of 2nd Qtr 2009. (sigh) While I believe it will be sooner, I do not want to give you folks a date that I cannot back up. We have been and are close, but as you know and I have said, that last part is the toughest part. Add to this, having to overcome innovation challenges, difficulties centering around a particular overseas factory, price increases, the effects of the economy, and now early shutdown for Chinese New Year! Arrrghh - Suffice it to say it gives me the disposition of the character above!
Obviously like the rest of the planet Earth, we are not immune to the cascading effects of this economy. The good news in all this is that a few months ago, when we were having our initial bottle necking and delays, we brought on other production options that could meet our standards. In so doing, we have moved many of our projects around to make 2009 a lot smoother than 2008. Unfortunately Buck and the ATOM body are the only projects really held up at the moment. Please continue to be patient with us and know that we will make it up to our customers.
As soon as I have hard dates, you will have them! Feel free to contact me for further details if needed."
