Ack-tion Figure (WIP) by Rohby
After the massively awesome MAD*L Caterpillar-customs, Rohby has begun work on a new platform based figure! Dubbed the "Ack-tion Figure" - Rohby mentions: "It's only got 5 points of articulation so it's not quite an "action figure" but I do want to create action based characters out of it." To help launch the figure, Rohby created his own spin on the "Solid Snake" character from Metal Gear Solid. Meet, "Half-Baked Solid Snake"! Shown above-right is the basic form of the Ack-tion Figure.
Featuring an amalgam of toy-forms familiar on smaller-scale articulated toys, Rohby
creates a larger-scale action figure for the designer art toy-crowd, IMHO. Rohby adds; "The Ack-tion figure itself was designed to be as minimal as possible. I didn't want to create too much detail and direction on it which would limit customization."
Plans are afoot for about 10#s "Half-Baked Solid Snake" up for grabs in about a week's time, followed perhaps by some foot soldiers for Half-Baked to shoot at! Meanwhile, do stayed tuned to TRE for painted prototypes soon :)
