Bears In The Woods by Nathan Jurevicius x Andrea Kang
Seen at the Cute & Dangerous-event last week (June 12) was a collaborative artwork on display by artist/toy designer Nathan Jurevicius and illustrator/toy designer Andrea Kang - featuring a cutout paper/print on bamboo paper piece titled; "Bears In The Woods".
TOYSREVIL: Do share with us, Nathan - who did what? And what was the concept of the artwork?
NATHAN JUREVICIUS: "Andrea's part of the work was the cut-out paper bears and mine was the densely populated bird trees - we were playing fairly literally with the cute/dangerous theme but wanted to add a twist (it's hard to see but the bear carrying the cage is smiling and not taken by the birds ... he may have a deal with the birds!)."

TOYSREVIL: I heart evil-smiling bears LOL - Are there any plans to release the image/s as a production print somewhere down the line?
NATHAN JUREVICIUS: "We scanned in all the paper cut-outs and will likely do a small print series - maybe just of the last panel - not entirely sure just yet."
FYI: This project is one of the first to be seen in public from the new venture / collaboration between Nathan and Andrea dubbed 'harley + boss'. Stay tuned to TRE for further developments.
