Giveme5ive & RC Work @ Taipei Toy Festival 2009 (TTF 1/6)
From the fashionista-fueled urbanscape, to the hypothetical post-apocalyptical future - CLICK THRU for a closer look at Paul Leung's DANIEL (Giveme5ive) and 1/6-scaled characters and "gravity-defying" diorama creations from Raymond Chan (RC Work) - both of whom shared a booth at the recently concluded Taipei Toy Festival 2009.
[NING] VOYAGER - from Raymond Chan's RC Work-label sees the fantastical mixed with a a semblance of how life would be like in his SURIYO "Forgotten World" series (characters and story viewable via www.rc-work.com / blogged). The price for this 1-of-1 Edition figure + "floating" diorama boat is a whopping NTD 62,500 (approx US$1,902).
Comparatively, the "new" urba dude shown below: "Louis" is limited to 23 pcs (I think - couldn't read the tag clearly :p) with a SRP of US$12,800 (approx US$390) - hope it comes with the bike tho ...

I'd previously featured Paul Leung's Daniel from his Giveme5ive series. The above images (used with kind permission) belonged to Nike Chen who scored one at TTF - along with a autograph sketch on the box. I'm a sucker for urban / street wear 1/6 and this looks to be well cool, IMHO. The headsculpt is a recognizable variation of Paul's from the early days of Mod Sherman :)
DANIEL-ORDERING-INFO: Limited to an edition of 100 pcs, of which 50 sets have been reserved for Taipei Toy Festival 2009. Price is tagged @ HKD$2200 (US$284 / SGD$413 / +shipping cost). Pre-orders (officially) begun from July 15th onwards, but fans have already been emailing - so from now til then, you will be put on a wait-list (email to sales@everylittlethings.com) before orders are full. The remaining non-TTF sets will be ready on or before mid-August 2009. [Previously posted here]
(Nope, that's not a pair of 1/6th-scaled jeans :p)
