Seen @ Toy Carnival, Singapore Arts Museum (July 5)

CLICK THRU for random snapshots of Toy Carnival @ the Singapore Arts Museum Sunday July 5th just, where I braved my own lethargy and personal finance deficit, and ventured forth into an event with the intention to cover the festivities - simply to share on me own humble TRE-blog (srsly), and ended up having a real decent time perusing table tops filled with multi-colored boxes filled yet with toys of all shape, size, color, make and brands.

Also check out my separate blog-entries for Scale Nutz's splendid Megatron and Iron man customs and 1/6th-scaled action figures from the OSW Singapore Embassy collectors :)

More (*much clearer*) images can be viewed via Ken Moo's flickr - where you might find a coupla pics of me gawking at a LMF-Black vinyl figure by Michael Lau, and attempting to feast on a LAMDOG (which I eventually did managed to bring home with me, courtesy of Ken - you evil man you LOL)

TRE-IMPRESSIONS: While generally a straight-up booth/table-sales sorta set up, with a sprinkling of activity-based happenings around the designated compound within the Museum (didn't help when the heavens opened up the skies around 4+pm and rained hard) - it was a surprisingly well-packed affair! Too well-packed, in fact!

The hall space was not fantabulously huge (with no wide convention-styled aisles) having tables lined the side of the room. The Star Wars set-up on the stage was a tad disconcerting, leaving me not much of an option to stay up and snap thru the crowd lined up and barrier separating display from folks (Totally understandable why it was enforced, of course). I hadn't have much chance to snap the Cosplayers, but then again I;ve never had much luck with snapping cosplayers with my dodgy camera LOL

BUT I managed to have one taken with Alvin Lee of Syonan Reflections - dressed up as WW2 German soldiers. Closest "Convention-Fan-thing" I could've done, and ended up quite fun LOL

So did you miss the 2nd floor hall space? If you had followed the throngs of people moving perhaps you may yet stumble upon it ... if not, perhaps a more visible sign (I didn't check for one, so cannot say that there wasn't one :p) would help the traffic flow.

Kudos for this event on a Sunday! And if nothing else of it's ilk sprouts up anytime soon, Im totally psyched up for the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention in August!
