Double the Convention Size @ STGCC 2009
How the Convention floor looked like on a Friday night - Day One of the Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009. The calm before the storm that which is the weekend - beginning Saturday August 15th, 2009. Doors to Suntec City Convention Halls 401-402 opens at 11am, with the event ending officially at 9pm. (On Friday night, it was near 9:30pm when the crowd started to clear).
This year's convention space has been doubled from previous years, and I'm personally grateful for the wider spreadout, and pockets of space, although one can imagine walking til your feets go sore - looking at all the goodness of art, collectible and gaming culture, IMHO!

Yeah the crowd today (Saturday) was crazier that yesterday! Especially after 2pm, as I expected that more crowd will be coming after lunch time :p
ReplyDeleteLucky I went there today just to get JLed's Green Slander Snake to buy & get him signed then went off . Too bad TOUMA x PI Little Trickster Set is cancelled for launch / release in this year event due to quality issue (heard from Jacky Teo PI) ! :(
Somemore I missed to take picture with him when he's wearing his Goon mask today! bloody hell! If I know he'll be wearing his Goon mask then I could have get my Goon signed today by him instead yesterday! :/ sigh.. but kinda happy to take pic with him without his mask yesterday tho haha.
Glad to went & spend the more than half day there to explore & look around on Friday without dealing with so much crowd (cuz I know crowd will come after work / school hours on Friday)
Total damage is around $200+ !!! madness.
