Kawaii Movie Magic X Target (top-posted video): Project: Kawaii's Movie Magic Animation // Client: Target // Project Overview: FriendsWithYou was commissioned by Target to create eye-catching visuals to be shown on some of the largest and most dynamic video screens at their event spaces in Victoria Park Dallas and LA Live. FWY produced an animation based on the exciting characters of FriendsWithYous newest brand, Kawaii Island. The short named Movie Magic features the famous Target mascot Bullseye directing the cast of Kawaii Island through the scenes of many classical film genres. This short animation spans from Sci-Fi to Western and ends in a tender love scene that zooms out to reveal an entire world that is happy and filled with love in the shape of a giant Target planet. Kawaii Islands debut was a big success. Target is very excited about this new FWY brand and is looking forward to expanding Kawaii Island into the Target world of superior design.
Tickle Party X Santogold: Tickle Party tells the story of two Fuzzies on an adventure to spread happiness with the moral that more treasures are received from tickling than from poking! Microsoft commissioned FriendsWithYou to produce a video art piece for a new campaign attempting to connect fine art to their new music player. The piece was produced around the concept of sharing, Zunes distinct feature, with the intention of gaining market recognition with tech-saavy consumers and to distinguish Microsoft Zune from its competitors. The video was created through mixed media, fully filmed analog puppetry, and minimal computer graphics. The designs were also used for downloadable computer wallpapers, blueprints for flat-pack toys, limited edition skins and product packaging.
Harajuku Lovers: In 2008, Gwen Stefani and Laird + Partners commissioned FWY to produce the most fun, exciting, universe which personified 5 scents in the fragrance line of Gwens newest lifestyle brand- Harajuku Lovers live. In the period of 6-months, FWY designed a complete universe for the brands TV spots, website, online advertisement, packaging, and apparel. FWY fully directed the TV live action/animation, conceptualized the script, revised the story, and managed all voice over work. FriendsWithYou further developed original properties and concepts of the Harajuku Lovers brand, demonstrating how character development can be used to influence an emotional connection between consumer and product.
Pop Tarts Dancer: FriendsWithYou and Leo Burnett Agency collaborated to create the newest commercial masterpiece for Kelloggs Pop-Tarts brand. FWY joined the campaign in its early stages and developed the look and design for the repositioning of the brand. FWY produced a TV commercial, conceptualized & created the storyline, original characters, overall aesthetic, all the way to delivery of the final TV spot which plays regularly on TV today. This mixed media CG adventure combined 3d characters and a real life miniature set. The characters and assets are still in use by Kelloggs Pop-Tarts brand in a new online campaign based on the work of FWY.
Move To The Music Open for Nick Jr.: Nick Jr. calls on FWY studios to create the art and animation for their musical block Move To The Music. FWY brings to life a musical train that powers itself through the creation of a fun dance beat. Every instrument comes to life as the cloud conductor invokes the most incredible performance. FWYstudios created the entire animation package for this block including an opening, closing, bugs, and more. We hope you love to Move to The Music as much as we do.
