Toy-Release & Preview: Skelve OG colorway from Circus Posterus / Brandt Peters + Kathie Olivas' for Living Between Worlds (April 2)
PRESS: Circus Posterus is pleased to announce it's first official Brandt Peters' SKELVE figure release: "OG colorway". This debut edition is capped at 66 in total and every single piece is handpainted by Brandt and Kathie (skulls and body stitching). The figure itself is resin (head rotocast and body/skull masks solid) and will mark the beginning of a series of many SKELVE designs from Brandt Peters, Kathie Olivas and many, many guest artists -- more info soon!
Only 12 of the 66 will be made available at Kathie Olivas' and Brandt Peters' upcoming collaborative gallery exhibition; LIVING BETWEEN WORLDS debuting at Gallery 1988 on April 2nd, 2010. Shortly after opening Circus Posterus will announce when the remaining 54 will be made available online through it's website so be sure to sign up if you haven't for their mailing list at www.circusposterus.com.
TRE: Standing just under 10 inches tall, the OG Colorway Skelve has a SRP of US$150 per (FYI: Skelve was first posted HERE on TOYSREVIL as a proto back in end-2009). Meanwhile, do CLICK THRU for some additional preview snaps of what to expect at the Living Between Worlds show (to add to the earlier previews HERE). Am personally lurving the seeming controlled-menace of Skelve simmering beneath the mask borne of pain, chubby feets scampering on scorched earth ... at least that's how my mind perceives Skelve... lurving it!
