Toy-Release: Rei Ayanami in 1/6 by Medicom Toy (from Neon Genesis Evangelion : 2.0 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE)

Scheduled for a September 2010-release is Medicom Toy's Rei Ayanami ("綾波レイ") from "Neon Genesis Evangelion : 2.0 YOU CAN (NOT) ADVANCE" [wiki] ~ in school uniform (previously available as a limited edition cinema premium?), complete with bowl of miso soup prop, and extra hands with plaster (for that banged-up look, yeh?). SRP is 17,640Yen (via Blister.jp / US$191).

Medicom has previously released Rei in her plug-suit, so this uniform-clad version is "refreshing" ... And while I am not going to pretend to know "anything" about folks' fascination with Japanese girls in school uniforms (*cough*), this figure does look pretty docile but sweet (suddenly remembering Shinji visiting Rei at her apartment in "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" / wiki ... *cough-cough*) ~ CLICK THRU for a closer-look!
