Ceramic Works by Yoshimoto Nara @ Tomio Koyama Gallery (May 15-June 19)

YOSHIMOTO-NARA-CERAMICS

Since my previous preview-post, Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara's solo show has opened at the Tomio Koyama Gallery in Tokyo, Japan (7th-6th floor / exhibits thru June 19th), with the exhibition showcasing his debut ceramic work, large sized sculptures, and sketches, all of which are the result of after more than a year's training at the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park . CLICK THRU for slideshow-peeks at his new work, which still maintains the ethereal charm of his earlier character stylizations well loved by fans worldwide, but now with a somewhat "fuller" form, IMHO. The show exhibits thru June 19th, so if you are in the area, do drop by have a first hand look for yourselves.
