BACKSTORY: Recycling is a very important thing to robots, it helps provide replacement parts for older models no longer manufactured and supplies materials for their repair and renewal. Plasma had done many jobs since he was built, but for the last 15 years he's been working at the scrap yard where they'd retro-fitted a plasma generator to his back and replaced his lost hand with a high temperature plasma cutter.
The dexterous digits of his left hand still allow him the ability to undo bolts, re-orientate pieces he's working on or remove those valuable replacement units with care, but his speciality is cutting up thick metal plates like butter or quickly turning tangled messes of metal into easily recycled chunks.
One day, so much of him will have been replaced that there will be nothing original left of him, but as long as there's a need to recycle and parts are available, he'll keep on cutting.
