Event: Mai Hiro x REIGN present We Make it Reign (Aug 29)
EVENT-PRESS: Two of Orlando’s giants in their respective industries will unite on Sunday, August 29, 2010 to present the WE MAKE IT REIGN exhibition. First up to bat is Orlando’s dynamic duo of Nakanari & Soujohn, the masterminds behind Mai Hiro. Mai Hiro is an upcoming and well-respected Orlando based design team that has worked on collaboration projects with Kidrobot, Akufuncture, KusoVinyl, Fury Animals, Linda Le, The Dirty Cream, & more.

EVENT-PRESS-CONTINUED: Second up to bat is Reign, Orlando’s Premiere Streetwear Boutique. Established in 2007 by creators Jimboy & Aba, and joined by Bobby B a year later. Reign was conceptualized and created after numerous trips to bigger cities and seeing a void of boutiques that carry unique clothing/items in Orlando. Since its inception, Reign has become a mainstay in the community providing events for artists, deejays, musicians, bboys, dancers, as well as import car enthusiasts, and believes that supporting and giving back to the community is essential to growing and sustaining Orlando’s diverse culture.
This will be Mai Hiro’s first Orlando show of 2010, and will be one of the most highly anticipated exhibitions to hit Orlando. The tall and grand walls of Reign will serve as the canvas for Mai Hiro’s exclusively designed for Reign art installation.
To commemorate the event Mai Hiro will be showcasing an upcoming 8” Spiki figure as well as all Spiki colorways from past collaborations and collections. Mai Hiro themed Kuso Pop merchandise such as key chains, cellphone charms, and sticker packs will also be showcased and available for purchase. The Mai Hiro x Urban1Cycle Skitty fixed gear bicycle collaboration will also be on display. Exclusive jewelry from Dave “Outtamymind” Quiles, and as always custom toys and new artwork will be displayed and available for purchase.
There will also be special sales and giveaways, live music by DJ Mark-V, asian fusion food provided by Bento Café, Boba Tea from Lollicup, and all around greatness from the local Orlando community.
