Seen @ Munny World Festival Indonesia @ Plastic Culture (Day One)

Featured above is Win Satrya's TOY GODFATHER and TOY GOD custom-Munnys (along with framed life-sized painted portraits) displayed in front of the Plastic Culture shopfront ~ welcoming folks attending the Munny World Festival Indonesia on September 24th ~ Day One / Launch Day of the 3-day event in Level One of Grand Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia. Festivities started at 6pm with a Press Conference, followed by a Meet-n-Greet with artists tag-teams Sylvi Francis and Chris Lee, and Singapore's very own Phu! with Bandung-based artist Brian Harsanto aka Breeanzz. Over on the Main Stage (flanked on both sides by custom MegaMunnys from Chris Lee and Sylvi Francis), a Media / Press Conference presentation started off the event, hosted by Joshua Artono (co-founder of Plastic Culture). Each invited guest and artists were introduced, and was followed by a short Q&A and a yummy sushi-reception thereafters. And of course a quick round of photo-tomfoolery (as all events eventually transcend unto LOL).

The Main Stage area also included an area dedicated to custom-Munnys on pedestal display, showcasing work from Abell Octovan (with his L'il Sucka Munny), Arno Fauzie (with his "Hanoman" custom-Munny), my very own Emo CyBoy, Brian Harsanto (with his custom-Munny and Glorious Blood Edition Beat Up Boxer). Phu! had two stands showcasing his Munny-army and vehicles, last seen at Chapter One: The Confrontation show in New York (with Rohby).

Back at Plastic Culture, Chris Lee and Sylvi Francis helmed the signing table for their Meet-n-Greet session right outside the shopfront, while the crowds streamed steadily into the shop-space to view the submitted custom-Munnys for the competition, as well as soak up the atmosphere of toys, Toys, TOYS! . What I personally loved about the event was the chance to meet folks, both artists and blog-readers, which made for an enriching experience.

By 8pm-ish, it was time for PHU! and Breeanzz to take over the Meet-n-Greet table, where they promptly started doodling on their Mini-Munny, in-between meeting their fans. The resulting customs are shown below (and are available via the fine folks at Plastic Culture ~ pls enquire for availability-details). And that's Day 1 done and dusted! An awesome round of Lamb Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng Kambing) for supper and tis beddy-bye for Friday!
