Custom Works on TOYSREVIL (Feb/9/2011)
Fresh off the sold out Derek and Roger Dunny customs, Sam Millen aka Tesselate readies his third ever Dunny-custom named KEITH for a Monday Feb 14th @ 6pm London time drop via http://tesselate.bigcartel.com. Limited to just one piece, this figure will set you back £20, with the set including a few vinyl stickers.
Spotted on my Flickr-stream (amidst a mild fever, no less) was an army of custom-Dunnys from Owen DeWitt aka Grimsheep, for his contribution to the Kidrobot-forum's MOST WNATED Series 2 Dunnys (lurving their belt-buckles ;p). As well release date for the series has been announced to be on Feb 19th @ 12noon PST online via http://mwartistcollective.storenvy.com. Price is pegged at US$60 per blind-box pull. Pretty fine set so far, judging from the previews posted on http://mostwanted-behindthehype.blogspot.com. You are recommended for peeps and drools - now THAT's F.O.C.! lol
Get your custom LOVE PUMPS custom-Dunnys by Motorbot at http://deadbear.bigcartel.com/ for US$35 per piece - show them HOW MUCH you lure your partner, and just in time for a bloody Valentines' too!
Peep a two-part commission Rangreas completed by Martinhead, with a 7x11 inch acrylic and ink on watercolor paper illustration, alongside a custom Rangreas toy from T9G x Tim Biskup. Always awesome to see older toys jazzed up and swell-ified, IMHO.
UK-based artist Hugh Rose is on a massive custom-trip, with multiple contributions to Custom Toy Union's collaboration with Toy2R: "Project Bear" - with works currently on view here, as well on sale here. Look for them at the Toy2R party at Yoyamart in NYC on the 14th.

And while cybernetic-bear thrill even the staunches of purveyors, how about some good old "walking dead" imagery with Hugh's commission 4" Mini-Munny custom; "Dia de los Muertos" - completed for CTU board JSERBIN, and is based on the Dia de los Muertos skulls from South America.
Customizer Nerviswr3k has relaunched his blogsite and we can openly hope for more images of his intense work. Meanwhile here's a twittered snap of the MOD1 MECHA SUIT NRV5WRK! *Tears out eyes*
New York based artist Ian Ziobrowski goes feral on a 3 inch tall Dunny and comes out fangs a blaring with SABRETOOTH! Check out more images of his fine brushwork on the plastic feline via his Facebook album.
Scant days left before their full public display on Feb 14th @ Yoyamart, Toy2R USA continues to preview custom Mini Qees, with the lineup above the latest on show. Quite an impressive job, keeping their Facebook page alive and kicking!
Peep GRINCHI BOY - a sculpted creation on a Munny from Luis Alberto Lepine, whose sculpt-work can be seen online via his Facebook album. "I'm Your Papi" ~alright! LOL
Here's a work-in-progress snap of a custom by DrilOne - a Medicom Toy x KAWS Pinnochio!
*man-gasp*
*faints-go-thud*
UPDATE: DrilOne's custom has been named and "Deutsche Pinocchio" has been completed!
