Upcoming Toys on TOYSREVIL (Feb/13/2011)

A new CRAPPY CAT sneak-snap, featuring two designs out of the 16 designs coming in Series 1 of the 2.75 inch tall vinyl minis, which will come bloind-boxed, along with "insane accessories". Slated to greet the public in Japan are these trio of one-off painted resin figures from Chris Ryniak, no doubt foir the upcoming MONSTERS & MISFITS show with Kathie and Brandt of Circus Posterus. What folks might get a kick out of, is that these will be produced "en masse" for the adoring public! No details on that at the mo tho ...

With the impending release of the Red Warriors and the previously released Dragon Warrior, Keith Poon shares with us the next Myth Warrior to be unleashed: OX WARRIOR! Keith also mentioned that "He has the biggest body in the whole series comparing to the others." ~Always looking for bulky warriors!


And while I am not a huge facilitator of Bwana Spoons products (NOT because I don't care, but no one tells me these things!) but images of his upcoming "Rootbear Randall" is looking mighty yummy! (And you KNOW how I feel about Root Beer!). Priced at US$86, I have since tracked it down to find it sold out.


US-based Peter Morris aka Pocket Wookie scores two designs in the upcoming SkelanimalS Qees Series 2 from Toy2R, and we are never happier! Check out the reveals of the designs above. While below we are to witness the reveal of Argentinian-designer Patricio Oliver's "Woodenmonics" Skelanimals Qee design. And of course, he has a story to go with the creation!


THE TENEBRAE STORY: "Woodenmonics (tiki demons, wooden Piranhas and wooden demons) Animated wooden evil creatures created by the Silver Dusk Order to protect the village, that end up being far to unpredictable to control and now live in the surroundings of the village preying on uninvited visitors."



Paul Kaiju shares the creation of SEAGOOL on his Flickr, also shown above next to "Partyball". Paul mentions: "Seagool was my second consideration for my Monster Family entry. I decided to sculpt him just so see what he might have looked like. So there he is."



Spotted on the OddCo Toys blog is their catalog of new toys, and we get a glance at Series 3, as well as Money Boxes shaped as Cabs and Military Tanks! Deadmau5 continues with Series 2 blind boxed designs, and the "Teeny Demons" got me chortling about the good (or os that "bad"?) old days of "My Little Pony"! MTV News reveals a preview snap of a zombie figure from McFarlane Toys' upcoming adaptation oif The Walking Dead figures - in both the Robert Kirkman comicbook and AMC television series - that's right, two separate lines! (Which means two zombie figs in either series?). And since McFarlane's been in the wings of awesome license production in a long while, this is a surprising development, innit?

The first series of deluxe 6-inch figures is scheduled for a September 2011 release, and includes four fan-favorite characters from the Image comic book:

This Spring Plaseebo will release a new vinyl figure made in the USA - ominously dubbed MOLEZILLA! And while we have a sole teaser image (posted above), we too have a backstory to share.

Our story began on the night of January 19th in the year of our lord 2011 in room 17-b of building 5 on the grounds of an animal testing facility for the pharmaceutical industry located in East Millstone, New Jersey. 
Here was the henchman firm that did the dirty work for many of the pharmaceutical companies who bring us those all important products to whiten your teeth,  loosen your bowels,  color your lips, get rid of your mucus, and many other goodies that give meaning to our empty lives.

This company has long had a reputation of going beyond the call to inflict unspeakable acts of torture upon our meek and innocent neighbors in the name of " safety for the superior species "  otherwise known as "profit and fear of liability".

The payment for the many decades of the Auschwitz like treatment of animals at this facility came due this night of the 19th. Karma was embodied in a mole that had been injected daily for six months with enormous doses of an experimental growth hormone and radioactive isotopes. A lab assistant found the 10 inch mole lying belly up in his damp and dark cage. Assuming the mole had lost its ability to continue suffering for the good of mankind, he dumped the lifeless yet still warm body in to the cart with the others that made their final escape that night. The cart of fate was left in a dimly lit room at the back of building 5 to await incineration at mornings call.

The call would not come that morning, for the mole was still alive and the full effect of their experiment was about to be realized. As the mole slowly emerged from the drug induced stupor, the growth hormone treatments of the past six months all kicked in at once and he grew to a hight of 50 feet smashing through the skylight into dark of the night. By morning the behemoth had eaten all of the employes, freed the other animals and demolished every  laboratory at the facility. 

Today is January 20th and Molezilla is sleeping on his full belly in the comfort of the Holland Tunnel. 
The sign above him reads "Stay In Lane For New York" !
