Custom-Feature: Indonesian Reog Dance by Silvia Tampi
How seriously awesome is this? From the deft hands and minds of Indonesian-artist Silvia Tampi comes this elaborate Munny-custom - completed for the Munnyworld Megacontest (Vote for this here by clicking "Like"). Based on traditional dance from Indonesia (Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia), this custom "dancer" wears a big heavy hat full of peacock feathers, and a lion//tiger mask! The name of the dance in question is the "REOG Dance".

Asked about a musical inspiration for this, was a surprising reply. "... particular song that inspired me is Fireworks by Katy Perry. the lyrics reminds me of the confrontation between Indonesia & Malaysia about this Reog. Malaysia said this Reog Dance is Malaysian Traditional Dance, but honestly, Reog originally come from Ponorogo, East Java,Indonesia. Indonesian people who move to Malaysia bring their culture (Reog) and perform it there. So that Malaysia people think that Reog is Malaysian dance, not Indonesian.
But hell yeah, the original thing always be better! So whoever claim it, Reog still dancing and dancing and give their best performance to the audience :)" ! says Silvia. She also added watching the video with a glass of coffee in hand :)
