Thanos: The Ultimate Villain by NEMO
Mike NEMO Mendez shares with us a slice of his past, along with an image of THANOS - who in his opinion, is the Ultimate Villain!
"This sculpt i did way back in the day when i was first starting out, it was a commission for VILLAGE comics. Village comics was a HUGE part of the RESIN MODEL scene starting out in the late 90s here in NYC. Not around any more but anyone who knows garage kits, and has visited NYC around that time (and either was a resin model head, movie buff, comic freak,and anything right out KOOL, THEY where the place to check out) will remember! i worked with Village Comics for years, building kits, painting, sculpting etc and getting PAID really well to do so , No one had ever seen such a thing or place!"
Marvel Comics' Thanos was sculpted by NEMO from Super Sculpy and then cast in resin - as commissioned by Village Comics - it was sold as a unpainted model.
