"Vinyls". It used t be a time when it literally mean recording discs aka LPs (Long Playing records made in vinyl pressings). I missed out on the scene entirely - having transitioned directly from cassettes to CDs (my younger brother instead has an amazing collection of). And I haven't heard the term "vinyl" used for records for a long time now!
