Custom-Feature: ARTGERM X Shunya Yamashita X JeAA
From John Eugene Atendido Avila of Design9 Creations - comes his custom-paint of a figurine mimicking "Pepper" from Stanley 'Artgerm' Lau of Imaginary Friends Studios - meant for an entry for the My Fave Anime contest, but alas did not fit the theme requested. Nevertheless it is a work worthy of a look and collective gawk from everyone!
"Pepper, that indescribable girl in red was created by Artgerm 5 years ago as a recurring subject for him to experiment with drawing and illustration styles. From Nagel-esque vectors to Ashley Wood-ish brush strokes to cartoony 2 dimensional peppers and photorealistic peppers, the range of possibilities continues to grow. And for the base figure i use Art of Shunya Yamashita: (Character Series Vol.1 Kanaru Canal PVC Figure 1/7 Scale). This i call ARTGERM X SHUNYA YAMASHITA X JeAA .." ~mentiond Eugene.
"With this elements i came up with my custom toy design. I´ve been fascinated with the works of Artgerm and Shunya Yamashita. The perfect female form they created/ crafted inspires me to interpret the pepper character to the canal ( kanaru ) toy figure. It perfectly matches the character, IMO. And also i personally love to have a PEPPER toy figure and at the same time a Shunya Yamashitas work. So here is it. :) Additional for my personal collection." ~adds Eugene.
