Starlight Studio's Hip Hop Toys to launch @ Kidrobot (June 14)
PRESS: On Thursday, June 14th (5pm-9pm), veteran graffiti artist Joseph "Tramp" Daly and his StarLight Studio partner Ishmael "Ish" Ford-Bey, will launch their fresh new line of collectible hip-hop figures at Kidrobot's flagship gallery and retail store in New York City. The first two toys on deck are characters pulled from StarLight animation properties The Sure Shot and The Adventures Of The Untouchables:
WHO: Party rocker "Prince Barry D" is an '80s throwback collectible vinyl figure who rocks a Playboy chain, nameplate belt, removable Cazal-type glasses, a sheepskin coat and hat to match.
WHO: "Boss Man Ish" reps the more modern day hip-hopper and is the fearless leader of the urban action hero crew, The Untouchables.
Always interesting to peep releases like this (out of the blue too - thanks for the email headsup tho!). The launch will be hosted by Tramp & Ish who will also be on hand to sign the classic toys "they developed as part of their larger vision of bringing authentic hip-hop to the animation world."
