Top Ten SDCC Toy-Wish-List by Rob Losito
So, instead of me yakking-on about what "I" desire, I got a few friends to pitch in with their WANTS for SDCC instead! Rob Losito shares with us his Top Ten TOYS-Wish-List for San Diego Comic Con - and his reasons "why" - starting with….
#1-WANT: Luke Chueh's Target.
WHY: "I don't really own any of Luke's pieces but I do love them and wish i did, but this Target red edition is really calling me because of the fact that I am a manager at Target. That's our bullseye symbol and I would love to have that on my desk."
#2-WANT: Luke Rook's Reanimated Grody Monster.
WHY: "Such a great piece and the nostalgia of the old pull string toys is a great edition to it. It gives it more of a playability factor rather than just a shelf display piece."
#3-WANT: Toy Break's OMFG! Purple and Color change sets.
WHY: "Such an amazing concept using fans to submit a design and also vote for what they would like to see as a figure in the set. I think George and Ayleen really hit a home run with these and a way to bring together and give back to the community. It also helps that I am trying to be a completist with this series because I have every released color way set. I hear the purple may be available after SDCC but it's the color change I am a little worried about."
#4-WANT: 64colors' Grim Marshall and Bubble Gumdrop.
WHY: "Everything about them screams cuteness. I really love what Eric and Laura have been doing together and very glad I own several pieces from them. These are a VERY NEEDED edition to my collection."
#5-WANT: Rotofugi x Tim Biskup's ROTO-A-MATIC Helper Dragon
WHY: "This is the just for fun, think its cool, Glad it finally came to fruition pick. Back to the old art of wax ROTO MATIC toys from my favorite theme parks when I was a kid. Transformed into plastic."
#6-WANT: On of J*RYU's Uglydoll Owls for the Giant robot show.
WHY: "He is a master at what he does and his styles are amazing. I have a couple of his 3 inch dunnys and I love them. It's a shame I do not have more of his pieces because I would love to have a nice little collection of Jess's larger art but my wallet won't let me :("
#7-WANT: Rsin Art blind box 3 inch dunny.
WHY: "So Glad Rsin went back and did some 3 inch dunnys. I missed his friday drop but hopefully there will be more. Such amazing detail in an affordable piece."
#8-WANT: Max Toy Co x Jay222's Lady Vengeance collab
#9-WANT: Martin Hsu's Dragon Boy
#10-WANT: "And finally. Well.... I hate to say finally because there is just so many things I know I have missed and can't think of at this moment. Luke Chueh's Squid kid Ink Emo Bear mini 10-Doh crime scene edition - which should be higher on my list but I figured I started with Luke and I will end with him. :)
Runners up: Alex Pardees GID bunny with mini figures. October Toys Chipster purple edition. Luke Chuehs and Scott tollesons and A little Strangers BARTHOLOMEW PUNCHY FACE. How cute is that??"
