Toy Review: 4th Anniversary Nom DePlume 1/6 from 3A Toys
Received my DePlume 4th yesterday and opened it today, to fall for this 1/6th figure all over again, as I had years back with the first ever DePlume (and 3A product sold). And there are notable differences and obvious improvements to the figure - including double guns and the trio-hose-configuration - I liked the nice touch of details such as the felt hair underneath the helmet (like the first release), and the "cloth" boots (versus the molded plastic). Released for the 4th Anniversary of 3A, this was a well truly deserving piece, IMHO.
The only key complaint I have of this figure, is the strange "stickiness" of the battle-pounch found in the figure's back - which perhaps might be the pleather straps, but it's nevertheless quite irritating. But this does not take away the charm of the figure, I have to say. "Finally", for folks who have been egging for Nom can be somewhat sated with this release? (I was seriously tempted to snap my Gen-1 version right next to this, but alas both boots has since been missing ... *sob*).
The additional fold out poster was a real treat, especially printed on a hardier thicker paper stock, and truly welcomed, bring a further depth of collecting. Check out the individual images posted on THIS Facebook album, and enjoy your DePlume, folks!
