TOYSREVIL-Reviews: Reticulated Box by Carson Catlin

Not your obvious "toy" getting spotlight here, but tis a product from a toy-customizer; Carson Catlin - and in the signature style of Catlin's cuts comes the Reticulated Box.

Housed in a brown box with his logo up top, within sees the object being wrapped in felt, and once removed shows a 2.5 inch cube of laser cut acrylic. The hue I have is a healthy dose of Orange!

I would be more inclined to term this a "Cube" rather than a "Box", as this item cannot be "opened" (like a "box" per se) and purely functions as a "decoration" It would have been interesting to house something inside of it, like another small toy figurine, but I reckon it might hamper the structural integrity of the object? But I digress … would be exceptional cool with themed pieces, like for Christmas, perhaps?


Nevertheless, the colored acrylic, coupled with the stylings of Carson's cuts is charming in it's seemingly randomness, but for the CC-logo on one surface, the only "free-dangling" aspect of the box which you should definitely go poking into lol

For the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, Carson will be making available a translucent RED Box in an edition of 20 pieces.
