Artwork Previews for "Heavenus" by Scott Tolleson @ Clutter Gallery (May 10-June 7)

Launching May 10th at Clutter Gallery are a dual solo exhibition of new sculptural works by Luke Chueh and Scott Tolleson. And while I've previously featured Luke's "Heads", today we have a look at artwork previews from Scott's show titled "Heavenus" - featuring his personal sculpted characters, which to me is a splendid (artist) evolution from his "Americana"-styled illustrations, IMHO.


And as you can see from the work-in-progress sculpts featured here, they were indeed done for the show, as posted via his Instagram @mrscotttolleson for quite some time now! The sculpted lineage of "Trayjus" has indeed grown deeper! And expect an edition of Stuffed Idol to be available for the show.

(Aside and not necessarily relevant, but Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" song kept playing in my mindscape as I prepped this post, but with the lyrics changed to "oooohhh Heavenus is a place on earth…!" ~ D'oh! ;p)
