Design Festa Vol.42 is happening right now this weekend in Odaiba, Japan - located in the Tokyo Big Sight mall - and thanks to the wonderment of social media that which is "Instagram", we have snaps of the event to gawk at! Judging from these images, the event seemed to be very craft and design-centric, with a smattering of collectibles and toys. Not a whole lot of cosplay and "mass" commercial brands, with huge representation of different genres, and all that is something right up my alley!

WHAT IS: "International Art Event Design Festa, abbreviated as Design Festa, is a large art, performance, fashion and music festival and convention, held biannually at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center in Japan. The event was founded in 1994, and anyone with original work to display is eligible to participate, regardless of genre.

Design Festa includes a mix of events from music, painting, food and fashion to crafts, photography, toys and performances. Health services, fortune-telling and the illegal sale of copyrighted work have been prohibited since 2011." (Wiki)

Design Festa Vol 42 exhibits thru Sunday November 22nd (closes at 7pm), while the 43rd Edition of Design Festa has been scheduled for May 14-15, 2016. More info via the official website @ www.designfesta.com.

. デザフェス42初めていってきました✨ 出展者の創作意欲がとても生き生き伝わってきて、楽しかったです！ 終わる頃に行ったので作品がほとんどないブースもありましたが😅 . 運良く好きな作家さんのライブペイントを見られたり、 時間帯もあってか比較的落ち着いて、気になった作品の製作者さまご本人ともお話ができました。 何でもその場で聞けるので嬉しかったです😊♡ 買ったものはあとで載せます〜🐾 . . #デザフェス#東京ビッグサイト#designfesta#デザインフェスタ#芸術の秋#ART#アート#展示#お疲れ様です
